1. Who we are

SQEwise ("we", "us", "our") is operated by SQEwise Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Our platform is accessible at https://www.sqewise.com. Contact: hello@sqewise.com

2. What data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, encrypted password
• Usage data: questions answered, scores, study streaks, flashcard progress
• Payment data: processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers. We store only your Stripe customer ID.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (server logs)
• Google login data: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google

3. How we use your data

• To provide and personalise the SQEwise platform
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (account verification, payment receipts, password resets)
• To track your study progress and generate performance analytics
• To improve the platform and fix bugs

4. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of: (a) contract performance — to deliver the service you signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — to improve the platform and prevent fraud; (c) consent — for any marketing communications you opt into.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with: Stripe (payment processing), Google (OAuth login, only if you use it), and OpenAI (AI question/note generation — no personal data is sent, only content prompts). We do not sell your data.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@sqewise.com. We will delete your account within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, object to processing, and data portability. Contact hello@sqewise.com to exercise any of these rights.

8. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
